Quantum of Solace

Join James Bond once again as he tries to stop a mysterious organisation from eliminating a country’s most valuable resource.

New Bond movie, 'Quantum of Solace', has hit the ground running with a powerhouse cocktail of intense action, amazing stunts and electrifying visual effects. DNEG was the lead VFX partner on the film, producing a diverse selection of effects work, ranging from the relentless opening car chase through to the thrilling bodyflight sequence.

Having worked with the director Marc Forster on Finding Neverland and Stranger than Fiction, DNEG were delighted to join forces with him once again, along with Visual Effects Designer, Kevin Tod Haug, to work on the 22nd Bond movie.

Led by Co-Visual Effects Supervisors, Alex Wuttke and Ged Wright, and 2D Supervisor, Victor Wade, the unique bodyflight sequence was the most significant challenge for the DNEG team, utilising a complicated process called ‘event capture’. Other work included, CG environments and enhancements, CG planes, cars, digi-doubles and other various VFX.

In total, DNEG produced over 340 shots for the film.
