Following our BAFTA and Oscar®-winning VFX work on Tenet, Interstellar and Inception, we were thrilled to partner once again with Director Christopher Nolan to help bring to life this thrilling biopic.

Led by Oscar®-winning Production VFX Supervisor Andrew Jackson and DNEG VFX Supervisor Giacomo Mineo, our DNEG team delivered over 100 shots – crafted from a library of more than 400 practically shot elements – as sole VFX partner on the film.

Working across some of the most important and explosive sequences, we helped visualise physical phenomena ranging from subatomic particles and huge nuclear blasts to exploding stars and the formation of black holes.

Embracing old-style practical effects techniques – such as miniatures, massive and micro explosions, thermite fire, long exposure shoots, and aerial footage – and complex compositing treatments, our DNEG team created the VFX shots in the film by combining together only real elements, without any reliance on CGI.
