Deborah (Deb) Giarratana brings over 30 years of entertainment industry experience to her new role. Her impressive career includes important roles at companies such as Digital Domain, Sony Pictures Imageworks, Method Studios and Framestore, where she has been instrumental in driving new business, strengthening client relationships, and helping companies expand into new areas and service lines.
She is also a film producer in her own right, having produced films such as Machine Gun Preacher, starring Gerard Butler and directed by Marc Forster; Burden, starring Garrett Hedlund and Forest Whitaker; Redeeming Love, directed by D.J. Caruso; and her most recent film, The Tiger Rising, adapted from the book by award-winning author Kate DiCamillo, starring Queen Latifah and Dennis Quaid, distributed by Paramount and now available on HULU.
On joining DNEG, Deb said:
“I’ve always worked extremely well and with strong results in environments where there is a distinct vision and a talented diverse team. Namit’s vision to aggressively yet methodically expand and strengthen an award-winning global brand over the years has been most impressive. And he’s made it very clear that it’s the strength of the team, right down to every artist, that helps achieve that vision. I’m so looking forward to supporting that vision and that extraordinary team, working to enhance and also develop new sales strategies to bring in more exciting shows, and nurture new and existing clients. I’m super excited to get started!”
