It’s National Apprenticeship Week and, to celebrate, we’re bringing back our Career Profile Q&As with an Apprenticeship special! Ask your questions on our Facebook page!

As part of the UK government’s ‘trailblazer employer group’ for visual effects, Double Negative worked with Skillset’s VFX Skills Council and Nextgen Skills Academy to help develop two apprenticeship standards for Junior 2D Artist and Assistant Technical Director.
These standards were rolled out in late 2016 as nationally recognised apprenticeships for VFX with standardised training and experience across participating facilities.
So, what’s it like being a VFX apprentice? How does it work? How do you apply? What qualifications do you need? We’ll be sitting down with Hasan Balable (training to be an Assistant Technical Director) and Harry Beatts (training to be a Junior 2D Artist) later in the week to find out all about life as an apprentice at DNEG. If you’ve got a question you’d like them to answer, head to our facebook page. #naw2017 #apprenticeships
