We are thrilled to take part in the very first Girls and STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Art and Design, and Math) event at TELUS World of Science in Vancouver!
The goal of the event is to encourage girls aged 12-14 to spark an interest and explore the STEAM related fields. Participants will have a chance to connect with female role models from various industries and become more aware of potential career opportunities.
WHEN: Saturday, November 3rd from 10AM-4PM
WHERE: Science World, 1455 Quebec St, Vancouver, BC V6A 3Z7
As a STEAM community partner, we will take part in both the showcase as well as run three workshops throughout the day. During the workshops, participants will partner with one of our motion capture artists to create their own visual effects for a computer-generated (CG) wolf. This is an opportunity for girls to glimpse into the unique world of VFX.
To learn more about the event check out https://www.scienceworld.ca/girls-steam. Registration for the Symposium is now full but come drop by the Showcase! There will be 50% discount on admission for children and youth during this event.
We can’t wait to see you there!
