Once again, DNEG hosted a ‘Summer Hackathon’ for its Production Technology teams in London, Mumbai, Vancouver and Montreal which generated over 30 new projects and enabled our talented developers to find solutions to complex departmental and production issues.
The Hackathon was introduced to give the ProdTech teams an opportunity at work to explore how they can use their creativity to innovate in new areas, and it has generated many initiatives that have optimized workflow efficiencies in a number of different departments, and improved our artists’ workflows.
Participants were given two weeks to delve deeper into new technologies and areas of the business that they may not normally have exposure to. The time was also used for further training and development to strategically solve tasks, increase knowledge, find out more about tools, apps or software, author white-papers and delve deeper into other new areas research.
