Celebrating DNEG x Red Hat’s Award-Winning Partnership
We are proud to announce that DNEG and Red Hat won Computing’s DevOps Excellence Award for ‘Best Use of Cloud-Native Technologies’ last night! Held in London, the Awards ceremony showcased outstanding achievements by organisations that have successfully applied DevOps methodologies.
The ‘Best Use of Cloud-Native Technologies’ award recognized the DNEG and Red Hat teams’ groundbreaking work implementing OpenShift to revolutionize key aspects of DNEG’s asset tracking system, significantly accelerating software innovation and bolstering the productivity of our artists across our global studios. Commenting on the project and last night’s win, DNEG’s Global Chief Technology Officer, Paul Salvini, said:
“The biggest challenge for us was to architect a system that would be efficient and reliable at scale: managing metadata for over 100 million digital assets, while in constant use by all of DNEG’s artists around the world. Red Hat OpenShift has allowed us to fundamentally change the nature of our software, with some parts now able to be tested and deployed to production in minutes. I couldn’t be prouder of the team and last night’s award is a testament to their incredible work and dedication. Bravo!”
Huge congratulations again to the DNEG Technology and Red Hat teams for winning this coveted DevOps Excellence Award in such a strong field of nominees. This latest recognition is a testament to the skill and dedication of DNEG’s Technology team, and our strategy of continual investment in our technology to reinforce our leadership position.
