A Retrospective of SIGGRAPH Asia 2023!
Earlier this month, our DNEG team assembled in Sydney, Australia for SIGGRAPH Asia 2023, the world’s largest conference around the Asian region for Computer Graphics and Interactive Techniques, hosted by ACM SIGGRAPH.

We kicked off our SIGGRAPH week by delving into our DNEG Sydney studio’s journey, as it celebrated its first anniversary since its opening in November 2022! Our local team shared their experiences, insights and future goals to position our studio as the go-to destination for VFX excellence in New South Wales. It was an inspiring panel centred around innovation, creativity, inclusion and belonging.
Afterwards, our Sydney Team took the opportunity to unwind and connect with industry peers at the DNEG mixer! Thanks to everyone who came by – we had a blast!
Day 2 was kicked off with a bang with our Oppenheimer panel! Featuring insights from Andrew Jackson (Oppenheimer Production VFX Supervisor and DNEG Sydney Creative Director) and moderated by Ian Failes (befores & afters), the session gave audiences a close behind-the-scenes look at Christopher Nolan’s epic biopic.
Following that, our DNEG Sydney team took the stage again to share a recap of our DNEG Down Under session from the previous day. Thanks to everyone who made it happen and to our wonderful, engaged audience!
