INCEPTION
INCEPTION
Director: Christopher Nolan
Studio: Warner Bros
"...some of Inception's most enthralling effects are pure visual virtuosity, as when one half of a Paris neighbourhood ascends like a drawbridge and is folded over the other half." Richard Corliss, Time Magazine.
Double Negative was delighted when director Christopher Nolan approached them to provide the visual effects for his latest movie, Inception. Dneg has had a long relationship with the acclaimed director, having worked on both Batman Begins and The Dark Knight.
Dneg's Paul Franklin, who had internally supervised the work on the two previous films, was the overall Visual Effects Supervisor on Inception and the Dneg team was also led by VFX Producer, Matt Plummer and VFX Supervisors, Pete Bebb and Andy Lockley.
The challenges on Inception, both in terms of logistics and creative ability, were unprecedented and the resulting visual effects delivered by Double Negative, for this rarified and creatively ambitious film, speak for themselves.
Inception opened in the US and the UK on July 16th, 2010.
