In Hellboy II: The Golden Army, director Guillermo Del Toro (Pan's Labyrinth, Hellboy) takes the unlikely comic book hero to new heights in a visually stunning sequel. After an ancient truce existing between humankind and the invisible realm of the fantastic is broken, Hell is ready to erupt. Ruthless leader, Prince Nuada (Luke Goss), seeks to reunite the three golden pieces of the royal crown and raise a mythical Golden Army against the humans. Only Hellboy (Ron Perlman) and his friends in the Bureau for Paranormal Research and Defence can stop him.

Double Negative delivered 1,050 shots for the film, the company's biggest job to date. The work covered the gamut of vfx including 16 CG characters, CG environments, CG fire, steam, smoke, water, dust and debris to name a few.

Hellboy was released in the US on July 11th and in the UK August 22nd, 2008.
