DOUBLE NEGATIVE FIRES UP THE ENGINE FOR FAST &FURIOUS

Directed by Justin Lin (The Fast and the Furious: Tokyo Drift), the latest installment, Fast &Furious, lives up to its name as a high-octane adrenaline rush of excitement action and most importantly of all, fast cars!

In addition to the CG environments Double Negative provided, the team also turned their attention to the cars. Since the cars had been filmed in a very restricted environment - driving 20 mph up and down alleyways marked out by shipping containers at Los Angeles Port - the main issue was to make it look like the cars were going very fast in very small alleyways. 3D car models were built from cyber scans, while the real cars were tracked in the live action at their normal speeds, using markers that had been placed on the walls and cars.

Fast &Furious opens in the US on April 3rd and in the UK on April 10th.
