Dneg were delighted to be asked to speak at last week’s Rethinking ICT Day.
The event held in Brackley, UK, saw over 100 Teachers and Representatives from a variety of organisations come together to discuss the future of ICT within Primary and Secondary Schools.
It was a wonderful opportunity for enthusiasts to share ideas, resources and inspiration to support each other and take the opportunity in September to bring something really stimulating to their classrooms.
There were so many fantastic speakers and we were particularly keen to hear from Sheli Blackburn about the role of Digital Leaders within schools; pupils who are employed to lead workshops, evaluate resources, teach their peers, collaborate with other Digital Leaders to share and learn ideas.

For sometime Dneg have been following the work of Brian Sharland and others as part of their #digitalstudies group. It was great to see how far developments and sharing have come in creating a new curriculum proposal.

Dneg were naturally keen to share the story of the Visual Effects and Video Games industries in the UK and encourage teachers to use VFX and Video Games to engage young people in learning more about computing and empower them to become digital content creators themselves.
And finally a huge thanks must go to Mr #RethinkingICT himself Chris Leach, who orchestrated the entire day. His openness encouraged a genuine sense of collaboration and exploration to inspire everyone to rethink their plans for September and beyond.
