The first trailer for one of the most anticipated movies of the year is here and it was DEFINITELY worth the wait.  Check it out here!  The trailer gives us vibes of wrist blades and hoods set in 14th century Spain and the near future. The trailer has received some in-creed-ible universal appreciation on the Internet.

Here’s what the press has to say:

Independent

“There’s still a lot of expectation surrounding the upcoming Assassin’s Creed film…..The first trailer for the film dropped, giving us our first look at Fassbender in all his assassin-y glory”

Nowloading

“It looked like it was just ripped straight out of the game, but now with a cinematic look that was just beautiful.”

Inverse

“Assassin’s Creed could pave the way for genuinely good movies based on video games.”

Collider

“Assassin’s Creed looks to raise that bar with killer cinematography… could be the first great video game movie”

Huffington Post

“The movie, which stars Michael Fassbender and Marion Cotillard, actually looks like the game. Impressive, immersive landscapes are a staple of the “Assassin’s Creed” franchise, and somehow the trailer, which has a very “300” feel, looks like it sticks the landing right into a giant bale of hay. “

In theatres on December 21, 2016.
